Hi—Format was excited to find a forward-thinking company like NW Superior Concrete. A young entrepreneur stuck inside an old generation industry was the perfect origin story for this project. NWSC is based in Elgin, IL and the founder is a second generation concrete worker. He’s spent many years working for his father and noticed an opportunity to do things very differently.
Superior Concrete needed branding that represented the future of their industry, but also one that retained the familiarity of the craft. It was a challenge balancing the two, but that tension led to some interesting solutions everyone was happy with.

Creating a functional brand guide was the first step. Through the collaboration, colors that were bold, yet familiar, were chosen to represent the brand. The logo system was created with versatility in mind, the goal was to create logos that were effective in both digital and print applications.
Superior Concrete’s primary target market is first time homeowners or remodel projects in Chicago’s northwest suburbs. Their premium service approach needed to be reinforced with quality visuals, copywriting & brand expression. They go above & beyond with all of their projects, Hi—Format wanted to match that focus and commitment.
Additionally, there was a customer funnel developed that would automate leads and manage lead generation through third-party software. Automating this essential part of their business would free up time to focus on other areas of the business.
